Allure Sensuelle is a woody floral from the French house Chanel, composed by Jacques Polge and released in 2005. Wood and flowers lead equally, with a strong sweet side and lighter spice, citrus and resin.
Bergamot, mandarin and pink pepper open with a bright, sparkling citrus, and peach adds a soft fruitiness. The heart brings Turkish and Bulgarian rose, jasmine and iris, rich and powdery, with dried fruits adding a warm, jammy depth. The base is deep and resinous: labdanum, vanilla and amber give a sweet, balsamic warmth, and sandalwood and vetiver a smooth, earthy wood.
About half of wearers find it long lasting, and a minority call it eternal, with sillage between moderate and strong. It is voted for autumn and winter and slightly more for evenings. It suits dinners and dressier occasions, and someone who likes rich, warm florals with a resinous depth.
