Coriander, juniper and black pepper open with a bright, herbal, peppery spark. Calamus, a reed root, adds an unusual green, slightly bitter and spicy-earthy note that gives the scent its name, alongside papyrus for a dry, smoky greenness. The heart brings Turkish rose and osmanthus, the rose rich and velvety, the osmanthus apricot-like and leathery. The base is dark and warm, with agarwood for a dry oud, incense for smoke, Spanish labdanum for honeyed resin and Mexican vanilla for creamy sweetness.
