The spice is ginger, both as the root and as ginger flower, which gives a warm, zingy, slightly peppery heat that is unusual in a scent this sweet, and cardamom adds a fragrant, faintly green warmth alongside it. The fruit is pear and raspberry, the first crisp and juicy, the second tart and jammy. Milk is the surprise, lending a soft, creamy, almost cereal-like smoothness that rounds off the spice. Jasmine and orange blossom bring a clean, slightly honeyed white-floral layer, sandalwood adds creamy wood underneath, and ambroxan gives a smooth, mineral, skin-like warmth at the finish.
