Rose of No Man's Land Absolu is a dense, spicy and sweet rose with a woody amber base, released by the Swedish house Byredo in 2025. It is worn by anyone.
Pink pepper opens it with a rosy, sparkling spice, followed by raspberry and blackcurrant, which bring a dark, jammy fruitiness. Peony sits in the heart, a fresh, slightly dewy rose-like flower, with saffron adding a warm, leathery, golden edge. The base is deep and long-lasting in character: patchouli gives an earthy darkness, papyrus a dry, smoky woodiness, and black amber and ambergris a rich, salty, resinous warmth that rounds everything off.
It is a cooler-weather scent, suited to autumn and winter and to evenings. Anyone who likes rose rendered dark, spiced and ambery rather than fresh should find it a strong fit.
