Amberness from BMW Fragrances, released in 2025, is a smooth woody amber with cardamom and vanilla. Woody is the word everyone uses for it; about half also find it spicy or gourmand, and a quarter green, ambery or citrusy.
Bergamot opens it with a clean, bright lift, and Guatemalan cardamom and cardamom add a cool, green, aromatic spice. Clary sage brings a dry, herbal, slightly musky tone, and geranium a green, rosy edge. The base is where the amber lives: Madagascar vanilla and vanilla give a creamy sweetness, Australian sandalwood and sandalwood a smooth, milky woodiness, Haitian vetiver and vetiver a rooty, smoky depth, and ambroxan a dry, mineral, radiant glow that carries the scent.
Amberness is worn by anyone. Its warm, polished character suits autumn and spring and works from day into evening, and it should appeal to someone who likes clean, modern woody ambers with a spicy start.
