Benetton Cold, released in 1997, is a spicy woody scent worn by anyone. Those two accords are what nearly everyone describes; about half also find it fresh, floral, aromatic or citrusy, which fits its crisp, slightly old-school character.
The opening is bright and a little fizzy, bergamot bringing citrus, aldehydes a sparkling, soapy lift, and caraway an unusual dry spiciness. The heart is aromatic and clean: coriander adds a warm, slightly citrus spice, lavender the classic barbershop freshness, and geranium a green, rosy sharpness. The base of vetiver, patchouli and white musk is dry and earthy with a clean, laundered softness at the end.
