Mandarin and orange supply the bright, fruity sparkle, sharpened by black pepper and cardamom. Lavender adds a clean aromatic lift that stops the spices from feeling heavy. The sweet heart is built on caramel, vanilla and tonka bean, a warm, slightly toasty sweetness, while incense, patchouli and vetiver give the base a dry, smoky earthiness that balances the sugar.
