Supremacy Gala

Supremacy Gala is a sweet, caramelised floral from Afnan, released in 2023 and marketed for women. Gourmand is how everyone describes it, more than half also find it floral, and a few notice wood or citrus, which fits a dessert-like scent with a tropical bouquet inside it.

Mandarin orange and red berries open it, the citrus juicy, the berries tart and jammy, with pear blossom adding a delicate, fruity-floral sweetness. The heart is warm and white: frangipani brings a creamy, sweet, faintly peachy tropical note, gardenia a waxy, slightly green richness, and honeysuckle a lighter, nectar-like brightness. Then the sugar arrives in force, with caramel, praline and brown sugar giving a buttery, nutty, cooked-sugar sweetness and vanilla a creamy base beneath it, while patchouli adds just enough earthy dryness to keep the whole thing from becoming cloying.

It is a scent for evenings and cooler weather, for women who like white florals served with caramel and are happy to smell of dessert.
