Lavender appears at the top and again in the heart, a clean, herbal, faintly camphorous note that gives the scent its backbone. Around it, mandarin orange and petitgrain bring a bright citrus-leaf freshness and black currant a tart fruitiness. Orange blossom and jasmine form the floral centre, honeyed and warm. The base is Madagascar vanilla and musk for a soft, sweet, skin-like finish, with cedar keeping it dry and ambergris adding a salty warmth.
