Roasted coffee beans and coffee give a bitter, smoky roast that anchors the scent. Blackberry adds a dark, tart fruitiness and chamomile a soft, hay-like, slightly apple-tinged herbal note. Earth and soil tinctures bring a damp, mineral, forest-floor quality, and oak and oakmoss add dry wood and moss. The leather side comes from suede and castoreum, the latter adding a warm, animalic depth. Frankincense and cistus bring resin and smoke, tobacco blossom a honeyed sweetness, and patchouli ties the earthy elements together.
It is a shared fragrance, worn by anyone. Coffee, leather and earth belong to autumn and winter, and to people who like dense, unusual scents with no obvious prettiness.
