Moorea, named after the Polynesian island, is a 2016 fragrance by Simone Andreoli. Flowers lead, and about half of those who describe it note wood, freshness and citrus, with smaller groups finding greenery and amber.
Lime, bergamot and neroli give a bright, sparkling, slightly bitter opening, and violet leaf a cool, green freshness. Sea water and sea notes bring a salty, oceanic breeze. The heart is tropical and creamy: tiare flower gives a sunny, coconut-like white bloom, ylang-ylang a buttery warmth and narcissus a green, honeyed depth. The base is woody and warm, with vetiver for an earthy, smoky root, patchouli for depth and amber for a soft glow.
Moorea is shared and can be worn by anyone. It suits spring and summer, holidays, beach days and daytime wear, and should appeal to people who love tropical white flowers with a salty, oceanic freshness.
