I Am King Of The Night by Sean John is a woody citrus fragrance released in 2009. Wood and citrus lead together, with sweet and green sides behind them and lighter resinous and amber touches.
Amalfi lemon, tangerine and orange open with a bright, juicy citrus, while black currant and cranberry add a tart, fruity sweetness and currant leaf a green, slightly sharp note. Sea water brings a cool, salty freshness. The base is woody and resinous: cedar and vetiver give a dry, earthy wood, sandalwood a creamy smoothness, labdanum a warm, balsamic resin, and oakmoss a mossy depth.
This is a masculine scent that, despite its name, balances freshness with warmth, suiting evenings out, nights in spring and autumn, and social occasions. It should appeal to someone who likes fruity, citrusy woods with a resinous finish, rather than very sweet or very fresh fragrances.
