Saffron, cinnamon and anise open it with a warm, leathery, faintly liquorice-like spice, with lemon adding a brief brightness and ylang-ylang a creamy floral warmth from the start. The heart is rose with raspberry, a jammy, fruity rose, alongside jasmine for heady sweetness, mimosa for a soft, honeyed, pollen-like note and oud for a smoky, woody depth that keeps the florals from becoming too pretty. The base is openly gourmand: caramel and vanilla bring a thick, creamy sweetness, tonka bean a hay-like warmth, amber a resinous glow and sandalwood a smooth, milky wood.
