Magnolia and a general flowers note open it, a creamy, lemony white floral that is unexpected in a men's scent. The heart turns edible: dark chocolate brings a bitter, cocoa richness, tonka bean a warm, almond-hay sweetness, and cinnamon a dry heat. The base of sandalwood and oud is where the wood takes over, sandalwood creamy and smooth, oud dark and resinous, together giving the chocolate a serious, long-lasting foundation.
About half of wearers call it long lasting and a fifth say it seems endless. Sillage splits between strong and moderate. It is voted equally for autumn and winter and mostly for night, which suits a rich, chocolatey wood for cold evenings rather than a summer day.
