The opening is built on the orange tree in several forms: sweet and bitter orange for juice and bite, bergamot for a clean sparkle, and petitgrain, from the leaves, for a green, slightly bitter woodiness, with galbanum adding a sharp, resinous greenness. In the heart, neroli brings a honeyed, soapy freshness, rose and ylang-ylang a softer richness, and clove a dry, warm spice that gives the flowers an edge. The base settles into sandalwood and vetiver, smooth and smoky, with Peru balsam adding a sweet, vanilla-like resin.
Citrus and green notes over warm spice make it a daytime scent that is at its best in spring and summer but has enough body for cooler days.
