Warm amber and woods define Silver Blue, with spice, caramel sweetness, resin and a flash of citrus playing supporting roles. Pierre Montale composed it for Mancera in 2019, and it is worn by anyone.
Spices and bergamot open it briefly, warm and bright at once. The heart quickly turns rich: labdanum brings a dark, resinous, almost leathery warmth, caramel adds a burnt-sugar sweetness and amber ties the two together. In the base, oakmoss and patchouli give an earthy, slightly bitter depth that stops it becoming cloying, while the woods and more amber carry it to a long, smooth, resinous finish.
Most wearers find it long lasting, and about a third say it is near permanent on skin and clothes. Projection is reported as strong by most, so one or two sprays go a long way. It is voted for winter and autumn and mostly for night-time, making it a cold-weather evening scent for anyone who likes a sweet, resinous amber with real presence.
