Angelica opens it with a green, herbal, faintly musky note, and davana adds a fruity, boozy, apricot-like touch. Indian saffron brings a leathery, slightly medicinal warmth, and nutmeg a sweeter, dustier spice. The woods are the centre: Atlas cedar and cedar, dry and crisp, with agarwood, or oud, adding a dark, smoky depth. Leather sits alongside, smooth and faintly animalic. The base is resinous: styrax, warm and balsamic, and myrrh, dry and bitter, giving the finish a dark, incense-like weight.
It is worn by anyone. The character suits cold weather and evening wear, and a person who likes dry, smoky, leathery fragrances with no sweetness to speak of.
