Blood orange and bergamot give it a juicy, slightly bitter citrus start, while saffron adds a leathery, faintly medicinal warmth and lavender a clean, aromatic edge. The heart pairs black pepper, dry and sharp, with rose, which here reads as spicy rather than sweet, over cashmeran, a soft, musky, slightly woody note that gives the whole thing a velvety texture. The base of sandalwood, cedar, patchouli, labdanum and musk is smooth and warm, with labdanum bringing a resinous, amber-like depth.
