Ana Abiyedh Rouge is a sweet, citrus-led scent with a mossy base, released by Lattafa Perfumes in 2016 and worn by anyone. Everyone describes it as gourmand and citrus; about half also find it green, musky, floral or amber.
The opening is lively and slightly unusual: kumquat and bergamot give a tangy, bittersweet citrus, and nashi pear a crisp, watery sweetness. The heart turns gourmand, with caramel bringing a buttery, sugary warmth, offset by geranium, whose green, rosy sharpness stops the caramel from being flat. The base is where the green facet lives, as oakmoss adds a dry, earthy, forest-floor bitterness, ambergris a salty warmth and musk a soft finish.
Most wearers report moderate longevity, with a quarter finding it long lasting; the trail is moderate to intimate. It is voted for autumn and spring, and splits exactly between day and night. It suits anyone who likes caramel sweetness kept in check by citrus and moss, for mild weather at any hour.
