Eau de Lacoste is a fruity, lightly woody scent for women from Lacoste Fragrances, released in 2013. Everyone describes it as woody, about two thirds also find it sweet, floral and citrusy, and a third pick out an ambery warmth.
Pineapple leads the opening, juicy and tropical, with bergamot and mandarin orange adding a brighter citrus sparkle. The heart is orange blossom and jasmine sambac, two warm white florals, with pineapple leaf keeping a green, slightly sharp thread from the top going. The base is where the woody votes come from: sandalwood and vetiver for a creamy, dry wood, vanilla for softness, and Peru balsam for a sweet, slightly cinnamon-like resin.
More than half of wearers report moderate longevity, but a quarter find it very weak, so it may need topping up during the day. Projection is usually moderate or intimate. It is voted for spring and summer and overwhelmingly for daytime. That makes it a light, casual warm-weather scent for someone who likes fruit with a soft woody finish.
