Scarlet Jas

Scarlet Jas by Just Jack is a spicy jasmine for women. Everyone who describes it calls it spicy, about two thirds add floral, about half citrus, and a minority find it green, resinous or ambery.

The ingredient list is long and not split into stages. Bergamot and Sicilian mandarin open bright, with ginger and cardamom adding a zesty, aromatic warmth and clary sage a herbal, slightly musky green. Black pepper, white pepper and cinnamon build the heat through the middle. Jasmine and jasmine sambac form the floral core, rich and slightly indolic, with ylang-ylang adding a creamy, banana-like sweetness and neroli a fresher orange-blossom edge. The base is labdanum and amber for warm resin, leather for grip and woody notes for structure.

Community reports on longevity and sillage have not yet been gathered. The spiced, resinous jasmine suits evenings and cooler weather, and someone who likes white florals with heat and darkness rather than freshness.
