The Collection Confident Oud

The Collection Confident Oud from Hugo Boss, released in 2021 for men, is a woody scent reduced to two notes. Woody is the only description people give it; nothing else competes.

Agarwood provides the character: dark, resinous and slightly smoky, with the dry, leathery depth that defines oud. Bran is the unexpected partner, a warm, grainy, almost cereal-like softness that takes the edge off the oud and gives it a dry, comforting texture rather than an animalic one. With only two ingredients listed there is little development; the scent presents its idea at once and holds it, changing in intensity rather than in shape as the hours pass.

Reports on longevity and sillage have not yet been collected. By character it belongs to autumn and winter, evenings and smarter occasions, and suits someone who wants oud handled plainly and without sweetness. It is sold in a large bottle.
