Billion Dollar Oud from House of Fanatics, released in 2024 and worn by anyone, is a sweet, spiced oud. Everyone who describes it says woody, most add spicy, about half sweet, and a quarter ambery.
Pink pepper and saffron open it, the pepper bright and the saffron dry, leathery and slightly medicinal. Nutmeg adds a warm, powdery spice behind them. Caramel and vanilla form the sweet centre, the caramel burnt-sugar rich, the vanilla smooth, and they soften the oud considerably. The woods are modern and warm: oud for dark, resinous depth, akigalawood for a peppery, patchouli-like woodiness, and cashmeran for a musky, slightly sweet warmth. Amber rounds off the finish.
Longevity and sillage have not yet been reported, though oud and caramel compositions of this kind are usually long-lasting. It suits cold weather and the evening, and will appeal to someone who likes oud sweetened and spiced rather than raw.
