It opens with ripe peach and dark black cherry, sharpened by bitter orange and warmed by saffron, which gives the fruit a slightly leathery, golden edge. The heart turns to chocolate and cloves, a combination that smells like spiced confectionery, with jasmine keeping it from becoming purely edible. The base of brown sugar and sweet almond is soft and marzipan-like, while iris adds a powdery coolness that stops the sweetness from cloying.
