Unica

Unica is a sweet, salty gourmand from the Italian house Furla, released in 2022 and composed by Nathalie Lorson. Gourmand is the accord every wearer names; most also find it spicy, woody, fresh and citrus, and about a third note an amber side. Mandarin orange and Italian mandarin open brightly, with black pepper and pepper adding a dry, tingling spice. The heart is where the dessert appears: ice cream and pistachio bring a creamy, nutty sweetness, heliotrope adds a powdery, almond-like softness and jasmine a light floral thread. Sea salt and salt cut through the sweetness with a mineral freshness. The base of Tahitian vanilla, ambroxan, white woods and woody notes is warm, smooth and slightly salty rather than heavy.
