Turnbull & Asser 71/72 by Floris, released in 2016 and composed by Penny Ellis, is a woody, floral amber for men. Everyone describes it as woody, floral, ambery and citrusy, and about half also find it aromatic.
Bergamot and mandarin orange open it, bright and slightly sweet, with juniper adding a cold, gin-like sharpness. Lavender brings a clean, aromatic line to the heart, and jasmine a warm floral touch. Orris root adds a cool, powdery, slightly earthy softness. The base is agarwood, or oud, sandalwood and amberwood, dark and dry at first, then creamy and warm, with incense adding a thread of smoke that runs through the finish.
