Camina - Provence

Camina - Provence from the French house Fiilit, released in 2019, is a woody floral inspired by the south of France. People describe it as woody and floral in equal measure, and about half also find it green or aromatic.

Blackcurrant leaf and basil give the opening a sharp, green, slightly herbal freshness, and lavender adds the clean, aromatic note that Provence is known for. The heart is soft and slightly powdery: May rose and rose bring a gentle floral sweetness, iris a cool, suede-like powder, and mimosa a honeyed, fluffy warmth. Fig adds a green, milky roundness. The base is a forest of woods: cypress, pine, cedar and oak together give a dry, resinous, slightly smoky structure that keeps the whole scent grounded.
