Molecule 03, the 2010 release from Escentric Molecules by Geza Schoen, is built on a single material, vetiver, and is worn by anyone. Wearers describe it as woody, and that is the whole story.
Vetiver is a grass root, and on its own it smells dry, earthy and slightly smoky, with a green, rooty bitterness and a faint citrus edge at the start. Without other notes to frame it, the material shows its full range over the day: fresher and greener at first, drier and more woody as it settles. There is no opening, heart or base in the usual sense, just one note unfolding.
