The notes are unordered: bergamot gives a bright opening, Sichuan pepper a tingling, slightly citrusy spice, and lavender and sage a clean, herbal aromatic middle. Cedar and amberwood bring a dry, sharp woodiness, patchouli an earthy depth, labdanum a sticky resinous warmth, and ambrette a soft, slightly vegetal musk that keeps the finish close to the skin.
