Dolce Vita from Dior, released in 1994 and composed by Pierre Bourdon and Maurice Roger, is a warm, fruity floral with a creamy finish. People describe it as gourmand and floral in equal measure, woody for most, with spicy and citrus sides for about half and a musky touch for a minority.

It opens on rose, lily and peach with bergamot and grapefruit, warmed by cardamom. The heart is apricot and heliotrope, a soft, almondy, powdery sweetness, with cinnamon and Brazilian rosewood adding spice and a smooth, rosy wood, and magnolia and lily keeping the floral side alive. The base is coconut, vanilla, sandalwood and cedar, creamy and comforting without becoming heavy.

Longevity is split between moderate and long lasting, and about half find the sillage moderate while a quarter call it strong. It is voted for autumn and winter and slightly more for day than night, which makes it a cosy cool-weather scent.
