Aventus for Her, released by Creed in 2016, is a fruity floral with a green, slightly spicy opening. Everyone describes it as floral; three quarters also find it gourmand, and about half woody, amber or citrus, with a spicy touch noted by a quarter.
The opening is crisp and layered, with green apple, lemon and bergamot giving a tart, juicy brightness, pink pepper a soft tingle, violet a powdery sweetness and patchouli an early earthy depth. The heart is rose at its centre, warmed by sandalwood, smoothed by musk and given a resinous, slightly leathery edge by styrax. The base is sweeter and softer than expected, as peach and blackcurrant add ripe fruit, lilac and ylang-ylang a creamy floral, and amber a warm finish.
