Velvet + by Commodity is an amber fragrance first of all, with a strong floral side and smaller touches of sweetness, wood, musk and resin. It was released in 2021 and is worn by anyone.

Rose and rose petals bring a soft, velvety floral note, while almond adds a marzipan-like sweetness that sits gently alongside. The heart and base are warm and smooth: amber and black amber give a deep, golden glow, labdanum a resinous, slightly leathery richness, and ambergris a warm, salty, skin-like softness. Patchouli adds an earthy backbone, and musk a smooth, cosy finish.

Warm and soft, it fits autumn and winter, for evenings, dates and cosy days at home. As the name suggests, it has a velvety, enveloping texture that suits anyone who likes ambery rose scents with a gentle sweetness. It is the kind of fragrance that feels like a soft jumper on a cold day, comforting and quietly sensual rather than bold or showy.
