Good Girl, released by Carolina Herrera in 2016 and composed by Quentin Bisch and Louise Turner, is a sweet, heady evening scent in which gourmand notes, white flowers and warm woods are layered thickly. Almost everyone calls it gourmand, most call it floral, and about two thirds add woody.
The opening is unusual: almond and coffee bring a roasted, nutty bitterness alongside the brightness of lemon and bergamot. The heart is a dense bouquet of tuberose, jasmine sambac and orange blossom, creamy and slightly narcotic, with Bulgarian rose and a powdery orris softening it. The base is long and rich, led by tonka bean, cocoa and praline for a chocolatey sweetness, with sandalwood, cedar and patchouli underneath and a pinch of cinnamon for warmth.
Most wearers report it as long lasting with a moderate to strong sillage. It is voted strongly for night, and for winter and autumn, which places it as a dressy scent for cold evenings and occasions where a noticeable, sweet trail is welcome.
