L'Animal from the Korean brand BORNTOSTANDOUT®, created by Cécile Matton in 2024, is a gourmand with a woody side noticed by most people, and smaller groups finding spice, musk and leather.
Rum gives a boozy, warm opening, and nutmeg a soft, rounded spice. The heart is sweet and nutty: almond brings a marzipan-like softness, honey a golden, slightly animalic sweetness, and heliotrope an almond-like powder. The base is where the animal lives: suede gives a soft, warm leather, and mugane, a musky material, a skin-like, slightly sensual warmth. Guaiac wood adds a soft smoke, sandalwood a creamy wood and vanilla a rounded sweetness.
L'Animal is shared and can be worn by anyone. It suits autumn and winter, evenings, dates and close company, and should appeal to people who enjoy honeyed, boozy gourmands with a soft, skin-like, suede finish.
