Rouge Smoking Extrait is the Extrait version from BDK Parfums, released in 2024 and composed by Margaux Le Paih Guérin and Amélie Bourgeois. It is a sweet amber: everyone describes it as gourmand, most also call it ambery, a good share notice citrus, and a minority spice, wood and resin.

The opening is cherry and almond with red mandarin, a marzipan-and-cherry sweetness given a brief citrus lift. The heart is milk, tonka bean and Peru balsam, creamy and resinous, like a warm dessert. The base of rum, benzoin, vanilla absolute and amber is dark and boozy, with patchouli adding a woody, slightly earthy floor.

Most people report long-lasting performance, and the projection is split between strong and moderate. It is voted for winter and autumn and strongly for the evening. Worn by anyone, it suits cold nights and people who want a rich cherry-almond gourmand with real depth rather than a light fruity one.
