William

William from Atelier Bloem is a floral woody scent worn by anyone, released in 2010. Everyone who has described it calls it floral, about half find it woody, and a minority pick out musky, aromatic, ambery and leathery facets.

The notes are listed together and are numerous. Neroli, nectarine and Valencia orange flower give a bright, honeyed, slightly fruity opening; the heart is a generous white floral of jasmine sambac, orange blossom and freesia, with lavender adding a clean herbal note that keeps it from being too lush; and the base of sandalwood, white wood, vanilla, amber and musk is creamy, warm and soft. The orange-flower family dominates, so expect something sunny and gently sweet.

Longevity and sillage have not yet been reported. An orange blossom and sandalwood floral of this kind suits spring and summer, daytime and warm evenings, and would appeal to anyone who likes white flowers with a smooth, woody finish. It is sold in a 100 ml bottle.
