Madame M

Madame M, from Astrophil & Stella in 2022, was composed by Nathalie Feisthauer. It is woody at its core, with a strong gourmand side, spice, musk and resin, and a little citrus. Anyone can wear it.

Bergamot and pear give it a fresh, juicy start, quickly warmed by cardamom with its cool, aromatic spice. Carrot seeds add an earthy, slightly powdery, iris-like touch, and jasmine brings a light, airy floral glow. The heart and base turn richer: cacao pod gives a dark, chocolatey note, while labdanum and benzoin form a warm, resinous core with a sticky, ambery sweetness. Cedar provides the dry woody frame, and vanilla with a soft, musky blend smooths everything into a rounded, slightly sweet finish.

This is a layered, cosy composition well suited to autumn and winter, evenings and relaxed occasions. It should appeal to people who like spiced, resinous woods with a cocoa and vanilla sweetness, and who enjoy fragrances with plenty of texture.
