The notes are listed without stages but fall into three layers. Bergamot, lemon and green mandarin open it sharp and bright, with pink pepper and cardamom adding a cool, lively spice. The middle is aromatic and slightly bitter: lavender, sage and wormwood, the last bringing a dry, green, absinthe-like edge. Vetiver, sandalwood and amberwood give the base an earthy, smooth, faintly warm finish, with musk to soften it.
