It opens with Italian mandarin and caramel, a bright citrus against a thick, burnt-sugar sweetness. The heart is cardamom, warm and slightly camphorous, bridging the sweet opening to the darker base. That base is patchouli for earthiness, incense for a dry, resinous smoke and vetiver for a grassy, smoky dryness, so the drydown is far less sweet than the opening suggests.
