Seda

Citrus leads in Seda, a 2020 scent from the Spanish house Somens, created by Daniel Josier. Around that bright core sit green, woody, musky and floral facets in roughly equal measure, with a faintly sweet, fruity touch that keeps it from feeling sharp.

Mandarin and a mix of citrus fruits open it with juicy, sunny freshness. Galbanum adds a crisp, snapped-stem greenness, and gooseberry brings a tart, slightly sweet fruit note that is less common in perfumery and gives Seda a playful lift. Jasmine sits in the middle as a smooth floral, never heavy. As it settles, cedar gives a clean, pencil-shaving dryness and musk softens everything into a close, silky finish.
