Charlie Gold, Revlon's 1995 addition to the Charlie line, is a sweet, spiced floral with a fruity side. People describe it as sweet and floral in equal measure, about half call it spicy and woody, and a minority find it musky or ambery.

The notes are listed as a single group, but they sort themselves readily. Peach and plum give a ripe, jammy fruitiness. Cinnamon and cloves add a warm, almost baked spice, and caramel pushes the sweetness towards toffee. Rose and jasmine lead the floral centre, and amber, soft woods and musk settle it into a warm, slightly powdery base.

Wearers lean towards moderate longevity, with a good share calling it long lasting, and the sillage is moderate for about half and strong for a third. Autumn and winter take most seasonal votes and it splits almost evenly between day and night. It suits cooler months and anyone who enjoys a gourmand floral in the older, spicier style rather than the modern candy-sweet one.
