Pineapple and saffron open it together, the pineapple ripe and juicy, the saffron dry, leathery and faintly medicinal, which is an unusual and striking pairing. The heart brings jasmine for a heady, slightly indolic white-floral warmth and balsam fir for a cool, resinous, forest-green note that keeps the middle from turning sweet. The base is where it settles: agarwood for dark, resinous wood, cedar for a dry, clean counterpoint, and amber for a soft, glowing warmth that lingers.
