Hacivat from Nishane, released in 2017 and composed by Jorge Lee, is a pineapple-topped woody chypre. People describe it as woody above all, citrus for most, with sweet, green and floral facets for a third.
It opens with pineapple, grapefruit and bergamot, a juicy, tart, sunny start where the pineapple is bright rather than syrupy. The heart is cedar and patchouli with jasmine, so the fruit quickly gains a dry, pencil-like wood and an earthy depth, with the flower adding a soft, slightly creamy lift. The base is oakmoss and woody notes, a dry, green, forest-floor finish that gives it a classic chypre backbone.
