Bergamot and lychee open it with a bright, slightly sweet freshness, and pink pepper adds a gentle, rosy spice. Artemisia and clary sage give the heart a bitter, aromatic, herbal greenness that is unusual next to rose and geranium, which together provide a sharp, leafy floral tone rather than a lush one. The base is where the woods assert themselves: cedar and sandalwood bring a dry, smooth woodiness, oud and cypriol a smoky, earthy depth, incense a resinous haze and patchouli a dark, soil-like finish.
It is a shared fragrance, worn by anyone. The herbal freshness up top and smoky woods beneath suggest spring and autumn wear, and it suits people who find most oud scents too heavy and want one with air in it.
