The opening is long and brisk: lime, lemon and bergamot give sharp citrus, clary sage, tarragon and coriander a herbal, slightly anise-like freshness, cypress a green, resinous crispness and aldehydes a clean, soapy sparkle. The heart is softer, with rose, jasmine and geranium bringing a light floral body, cyclamen a watery note and caraway a savoury spice. The base is dry and traditional: oakmoss adds an earthy, mossy depth, while cedar, sandalwood, patchouli, amber and musk give a warm, woody finish.

Longevity reports range from moderate to weak, and the trail is split between moderate and intimate. It is voted for summer and spring and strongly for daytime. That suits it to warm days and casual wear, for someone who likes an old-school fresh cologne.
