It opens with saffron and bitter almond, a warm, leathery spice next to a marzipan-like sweetness, so the start is both dry and sugary. The heart pairs Egyptian jasmine, a rich, creamy white floral, with Virginia cedar, a dry, pencil-shaving wood that keeps the sweetness in check.
