It opens with Calabrian bergamot, citron and Sicilian orange, a bright, slightly bitter burst of zest. The heart turns warm with Nigerian ginger and Ceylon cinnamon, a fresh and a sweet spice together, while Tunisian neroli adds a clean, green orange-blossom note. The base is where it becomes more than a cologne: Chinese black tea gives a dry, tannic depth, frankincense a soft resinous smoke, and guaiac wood with Ambroxan a warm, mineral, long-lasting foundation.
