Ô de Lancôme is a classic citrus cologne-style fragrance from Lancôme, dating from 1969 and composed by Robert Gonnon. Citrus leads for everyone, most also call it woody and aromatic, and a minority notice spicy, sweet and floral touches.

The opening is a sparkling citrus burst of lemon, mandarin orange and bergamot, softened by a hint of honeysuckle. The heart is herbal and fresh: basil, coriander and rosemary give a green, slightly spicy aromatic character, with jasmine adding a soft floral glow. The base is dry and refined, as oakmoss brings a mossy, slightly bitter depth, vetiver an earthy grassiness and sandalwood a smooth, creamy finish.

Most wearers find longevity and sillage moderate. It is voted mostly for summer and spring and strongly for daytime, which suits hot days, the office and after-bath freshness. It fits someone who likes clean, uplifting scents with a vintage, herbal-mossy elegance.
