Couture Couture, from Juicy Couture in 2009, is a sweet, fruity floral with an orange-blossom opening. Sweet is the word everyone uses; most also find it floral and citrusy, and a third woody or ambery.
Mandarin orange and grapefruit open it with a juicy, slightly bitter citrus, and African orange flower adds a bright, honeyed white-floral note from the start. The heart is plum, jasmine and honeysuckle: a dark, jammy fruit alongside two sweet, nectar-like flowers, which is where most of the gourmand impression comes from. The base of amber, vanilla and sandalwood is warm, creamy and sweet, and carries the fruit and flowers into a soft drydown.
Most wearers find the longevity moderate, with nearly a third calling it long lasting, and the sillage is moderate for about half and strong for a fifth. Autumn and spring lead the seasonal votes and it is worn more by day than by night. It suits mild weather and anyone who likes a fruity floral that leans towards warmth and sweetness rather than freshness.
