A light, citrus floral for men, Artisan was released by John Varvatos in 2009 and composed by Rodrigo Flores-Roux with John Varvatos. Everyone describes it as floral and citrus; about half also find it spicy, woody, musky or aromatic.

The opening is bright and herbal, with clementine and tangerine giving a sweet, juicy citrus and marjoram with thyme a dry, savoury, Mediterranean greenness. The heart is openly floral, as orange blossom brings a clean, honeyed sweetness, jasmine a soft warmth and lavender an aromatic cleanness, with ginger adding a gentle spice. The base is quiet, with woodsy notes, amber and musk giving a soft, warm, slightly dry finish.

Nearly half of wearers find it weak and most of the rest moderate; the trail is mainly intimate. It is voted for summer and spring, and strongly for daytime. It suits hot days, casual wear and anyone who likes a fresh, floral citrus and does not mind reapplying.
